Tamannaah Bhatia: Like every Indian household, my parents want me to get married

Working across Indian film industries has kept Tamannaah Bhatia on her toes. From starring in south films, playing plum roles in Hindi movies the actress shuttles between various states for work. While she keeps herself focused, and is always on the move, her parents on the other hand hope and wish for something beyond.

Tamannaah says that her parents want to see her happily married and settled. She shares, “The thing is that I work 26 hours a day! Like while I am talking to you, I am getting calls from my mother that are going unanswered as I am busy working. She is just fed up with my busy schedule.” She further adds, “Like every Indian household, my parents want me to get married too. But what do I do I have no time for my personal life.”

The actress says that she genuinely has no time for her personal life, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t long to settle down. She explains, “I do believe in the institution of marriage, and I do want to get married and have kids. But for now, I don’t have much of a life. I really enjoy my work a lot. I think it (a film set) is a place where I feel most comfortable. Had I had more energy I would work all the more.”

Tamannaah says it is all thanks to her supportive parents that she could focus upon work so much. She concludes saying, “My folks are extremely supportive. I don’t think I could have done this without my family. They really get the fact that I am so passionate about my work. I live with them and a cute little puppy. That’s my world. I feel very pampered.”
