Although it is just a temporary fix, you can still store more data on your iPhone, instead of having to delete important work-related files or having to upgrade to a newer device.

Do note that there’s no direct way of clearing system storage on the iPhone. Instead, you can delete app data and system cache which will free up the storage space up to an extent. Here’s how to do it.


How to check apps taking up system storage space

Step 1:

Tap Settings on your iPhone. 

Step 2:

Tap Settings on your iPhone. 

Step 3:

A bar will appear showing how much space is taken by various apps, along with all the system storage. Below that, a list of apps consuming the data will appear.


How to delete app data to free up space

Step 1:

To delete app data on your iPhone, tap on Settings.

Step 2:

Tap General and then go to System Storage.

Step 3:

When the list of apps appears, tap on the particular app of which you wish to delete data.

Step 4:

Tap on Offload App. This will delete the app and free up the storage space taken by it.

How to clear system cache

Your iPhone temporarily stores system cache to make loading apps faster. However, this also means that a chunk of space is taken up. Thankfully, getting rid of it is easy! To clear the system cache on your iPhone, simply restart your iPhone. This will clear up all the system cache stored on your iPhone.
