Shobana to play a cameo in Mammootty’s ‘CBI 5: The Brain’?

Actor-dancer Shobana earlier paid a visit to the set of a Mammootty movie. The two times National award-winning actress visited Mammootty, while the latter was filming for his most ambitious upcoming film ‘CBI 5: The Brain’. The makers of ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ gave Shobana received her with bouquets of flowers and gave her a warm welcome. Mammootty was delighted to catch up with his old colleague, and the superstar also shared glimpses of their meeting on his social media handle. From engaging in long conversations to having lunch, and clicking pictures, Mammootty and Shobana had a good time on the sets. Shobana’s visit to the sets of ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ has also sparked rumours about whether she will be doing a cameo appearance in the film. Since the trailer of ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ will be out today, and ahead of it, Mammootty has posted a video, it has added up to the buzz.

On the other hand, Mammootty and Shobana have worked together in numerous movies including ‘Thalapathi’, ‘Mazhayethum Mumbe’, ‘Anantharam’, and, ‘Pappayude Swantham Appoos’, among others. And their recent meeting has also left the cinepgiles wonder if they will be reuniting for a film.

Directed by K Madhu, and written by SN Swamy, ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ is the fifth installment of the popular investigative franchise. Mammootty is reprising the role of Sethurama Iyer, the CBI officer, while Mukesh and Jagathy are reprising their roles of Chacko and Vikram respectively in the ‘CBI 5: The Brain’.

Meanwhile, the past four movies from the investigative franchise include – ‘Oru CBI Diary Kurippu’, ‘Jagratha’, ‘Sethurama Iyer CBI’, and, ‘Nerariyan CBI’. ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ is slated for release on May 1.
