“Jawan,” directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, continues to make history at the box office. In just four days, the film has amassed a staggering ₹531 crore in global box office collections, setting a new record as the fastest Hindi film to achieve this milestone. Shah Rukh Khan is also now the only actor to deliver two consecutive ₹500 crore grossing films in a single year, with “Pathaan” achieving significant success earlier.
“Jawan” has joined the prestigious ₹500 crore club worldwide within just four days. The film also recorded the highest single-day collection in India for any Bollywood film to date. The daily box office collections for “Jawan” are as follows: Day 1 – ₹125.05 crore, Day 2 – ₹109.24 crore, Day 3 – ₹140.17 crore, and Day 4 – ₹156.80 crore, bringing the total to ₹531.26 crore.
Additionally, “Jawan” secured the fourth spot at the US domestic box office for the opening weekend, surpassing other notable films. The movie collected $6.2 million from 813 locations in North America, outperforming competitors like “Barbie” and “OppenHeimer.”
“Jawan” made its global theatrical debut on the occasion of the Janmashtami festival, and it features Vijay Sethupathi as the main antagonist. The film marks Nayanthara’s Hindi film debut and includes a stellar cast with Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Eijaz Khan, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
To celebrate the film’s success and honor real-life heroes, a special screening of “Jawan” was organized for Indian Army personnel, police officers, and traffic police personnel in Mumbai. Director Atlee personally attended the screening, paying tribute to those who serve on the front lines.
