New Delhi: The first images of Tina Dabi, who topped the civil service examinations in 2015, and fellow officer Dr Pradeep Gawande, who married earlier this week, have been released.
The wedding in Rajasthan was a private occasion attended by family and close friends.
In a modest ceremony, the couple exchanged garlands in front of a photograph of Dalit leader BR Ambedkar.
Vinod Jakhar, national secretary of the National Students’ Union of India, tweeted the photo on Twitter (NSUI).

Dabi is presently the Joint Secretary in the Rajasthan Finance Department, while Dr Gawande is the Director of the Rajasthan Department of Archaeology and Museum.
Last month, the public workers announced their engagement with a shot on the photo-sharing platform Instagram. Tina Dabi, who tagged her fiance, added, “I am wearing the grin you gave me fiance.”
The pair allegedly met during the epidemic, and Dr Gawande proposed to Dabi.
Tina Dabi was formerly married to Indian Administrative Service officer Athar Aamir Khan. Khan finished second in the UPSC examinations in 2015. In 2021, the couple divorced.
Tina Dabi is the first Dalit to be elected to the civil service.
