Neha Dhupia revealed in an interview that she had put on around “23-25 kilos,” when she was pregnant with her daughter Mehr. After Mehr’s birth in 2018, Neha was also heavily trolled and fat shamed for making public appearances in her new figure.

Responding to the trolls, Neha took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “I don’t owe anyone an explanation because fat shaming like this doesn’t bother me one bit. And I hope in the future people are kinder to each other while making such vapid and vile comments.”

Supporting his wife, actor Angad Bedi told Hindustan Times, “Those who fat-shame (her) I want to tell them that being happy has nothing to do with body weight but how one leads his or her life. Neha is a strong woman; she has got back to work and is also taking care of her child. Women like her should be celebrated.”
