As the top wrestlers of the country continue to sit in protest against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has assured that the issue will be taken seriously. Notably, World championship medallist Vinesh Phogat had alleged the WFI President of Mental and Sexual harassment on Wednesday.
“The safety of our women athletes is very important and we take it seriously. We will not let their morale down,” CM Khattar said as quoted by news agency ANI.
“We will not let their morale down. All the issues raised by the athletes will be taken seriously,” he added.
