AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan Arrested By Delhi Police For Protesting Against MCD’s Anti-Encroachmen

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan on Thursday was arrested by Delhi Police, as reported by news agency ANI. Amanatullah was protesting against an anti-encroachment drive in south Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar area and an FIR has also been registered against him. 

Earlier today, he was detained by Delhi police at Madanpur Khadar, where SDMC was conducting an anti-encroachment drive.

Amanatullah was arrested for obstructing government work from Okhla. On Thursday, the civic bodies of Delhi launched an anti-encroachment drive in various areas. During this, there was a huge protest in the Madanpur Khadar area. Amanatullah Khan was also present in the protest.

On Monday also, during a campaign in Shaheen Bagh, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan had protested. An FIR was registered against him for creating “obstruction” in the work of the officers.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) removed illegal and temporary structures on Madanpur Khadar and Dhirsain Marg, while the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) took action in Rohini and Karol Bagh areas.
